Alex Khvatov:
Describe your experience at the Senior Bowl the
last few days.
Tavarres King:
It has been fun going up against some of the
best players in the nation. These are some of
the best athletes. I have had an opportunity to
learn from NFL coaches and guys who are very
passionate about the game.
Alex Khvatov:
You had a very strong practice today. You made
a couple of spectacular catches, what was the
difference for you out there today?
Tavarres King:
I was able to knock the rust off yesterday. I
haven’t put on pads and a helmet in 3 or 4
weeks.
Alex Khvatov:
What are your strengths?
Tavarres King:
I think that I take the top off the defense
pretty well. I can run by guys and get open
deep.
Alex Khvatov:
What are you trying to improve upon here at the
Senior Bowl?
Tavarres King:
I want to improve on consistency. That is what
I harp on. I want to be more consistent in
running routes, catching the ball and blocking.
Alex Khvatov:
What is the feedback that you have received from
scouts and coaches this week?
Tavarres
King: They are just feeling me out.
I am just trying to sell myself and my talent.
Alex Khvatov:
Describe your teammates CB Sanders Cummings and
S Shawn Williams.
Tavarres King:
They are great men. They play extremely hard.
They are smart. They come from a scheme that
has been successful in our league. Coach
Grantham taught them a lot. They should be
successful at the next level.
Alex Khvatov:
Tell us about your career at Georgia.
Tavarres King:
It was a fun ride. I met a lot of great
people. We had one bad year as a team. We got
it turned around and went to the SEC
Championship Game.
Alex Khvatov:
Finish the sentence, Tavarres King is….
Tavarres
King: Quiet, fun guy. I am fun to
be around.
