Alex Khvatov:  Describe your first day of practice at the Senior Bowl.

Sylvester Williams:  It was great.  I feel like I had a good day.  I had a chance to go out there and make some plays.  The big thing is just knocking the rust off.  I want to have a great day tomorrow.  I haven’t played football since November 24th.  It was a long time ago.

Alex Khvatov:  You flashed quickness and defeated the double team with ease during the first day, what can we expect from you the rest of the week?

Sylvester Williams:  I am just trying to add more to my game.  I want to dominate.  My goal is to win every battle.  Hopefully by the end of the week, I will be having a perfect week.

Alex Khvatov:  What are your strengths?

Sylvester Williams:  I feel like I can do anything.  I can rush the passer and play well against the run.  But the main thing is my quickness and my athleticism.

Alex Khvatov:  What are you trying to improve upon this week?

Sylvester Williams:  I want to improve against the run.  I want to be in the backfield more and make a lot of plays.

Alex Khvatov:  Tell us about your unique story.  You quit high school and worked at a plant for awhile.  Then you went to a junior college and wound up at North Carolina.  How has that experience shaped your life?

Sylvester Williams:  It is a blessing.  I learned from every mistake that I made.  That is what helped me out the most.  Those mistakes helped me get through college.  I worked hard in the classroom and on the field.  I was able to be successful.  I got my degree from North Carolina.  I got a degree in communications.  It was a blessing for me.

Alex Khvatov:  What is the highlight of your career up to this point?

Sylvester Williams:  Most memorable moment for me was beating NC State.  It was a big game for us.  We were all crying after that win in the locker room.  Our class has never beaten them before.  I will never forget it.

Alex Khvatov:  Describe your teammate LB Kevin Reddick.

Sylvester Williams:  He is a great player.  He is one of the smartest linebackers that I have ever played with.  He knew his assignments and where everybody was supposed to be.  He is strong and athletic.  He should have a great NFL career.  He kind of reminds me of Ray Lewis.

Alex Khvatov:  What are your hobbies?

Sylvester Williams:  I watch a lot of film during my free time.  I like to watch football.  I am a relaxed guy.

Alex Khvatov:  Which players have stood out in practice thus far?

Sylvester Williams:  Everyone was knocking the rust off.  I can’t point to one particular guy.  All of them had a pretty good day.  The center from Notre Dame (Braxston Cave) had nice strength.  The tackle from Central Michigan (Eric Fisher) had a good day.  Kevin Reddick had a big day.  I am not just saying it because he is my teammate.  He really had a good day.

Alex Khvatov:  Finish the sentence, Sylvester Williams is….

Sylvester Williams:  I am a very humble guy.  I am a blessed guy.  I work hard.  I want to inspire others.  I want to help others learn from their mistakes.  I am fun to be around.  I love the game of football.
