time)?
Dominick LeGrande:
I am 6’2, 215 and 4.4.

When
you were coming out of high school, what programs
showed interest in you?
Dominick LeGrande:
I didn’t really get a lot of interest coming out of
high school. I was a two star recruit coming out of
New York. Boston College was my biggest offer.
Alex
Khvatov:
Were you happy with the decision that you made by
choosing Boston College?
Dominick LeGrande:
I felt like it was a great fit for me. I got a
great education over there. I thought that it was a
good fit for me.
Alex
Khvatov:
Describe your career with the Eagles.
Dominick LeGrande:
There were some ups and downs at Boston College. I
enjoyed my experience there. I had a chance to play
in the ACC.

Khvatov:
Why did you decide to transfer to Marshall for your
last season?
Dominick LeGrande:
I decided to come to Marshall because I wanted to
play with my teammate Okechukwu Okoroha. We both
transferred from Boston College. I wanted to play
my last year beside him. He made me better this
year, and I made him better this year. We fed off
each other. We finished our last season at
Marshall. I thought that it was a perfect fit for
us.

Khvatov:
You led all safeties with 132 total tackles this
year, what is the biggest reason for your breakout
campaign?
Dominick LeGrande:
I really can’t tell you. I was just out there doing
my job. I just learned to make every play that came
my way. God helped me this year.
Alex
Khvatov:
What
is the highlight of your career up to this point?
Dominick LeGrande:
Coming to Marshall and meeting new people out
there. Guys took me in. I am grateful that
Marshall gave me an opportunity to play another
year.

What
are your strengths?
Dominick LeGrande:
I believe that I can cover. I can hit and tackle.
I play well in space. I think that I am a solid
player.
Alex Khvatov:
What areas of your game do you
need to improve upon?
Dominick LeGrande:
There are always things that you need to work on. I
believe that I have a lot of work to do. I just
want to get better.

Khvatov:
What separates you from all of the other players at
your position?
Dominick LeGrande:
I think that I am a great tackler. I am a sure
tackler. I love tackling. I play well in space.
Alex
Khvatov:
Who is
the best player that you have faced during your
career?
Dominick LeGrande:
Hakeem Nicks. I played against him when I was in
Boston College. I thought that he was a great
player. C.J. Spiller at Clemson was a great
player.

What is your favorite NFL team?
Dominick LeGrande:
I am from New York, so I kind of like the Giants. I
just love watching football.
Alex

Describe your teammate WR Aaron Dobson.
Dominick LeGrande:
He is a great player. He is one of the hardest
workers on the team. He is a very polished
receiver. He works hard. He is my teammate. I
watched him make some great plays.

Which underclassmen on your team should we keep an
eye on in the future?
Dominick LeGrande:
There is so much talent there. There is Kevin
Grooms (RB), Steward Butler (RB), Rakeem Cato (QB)
and Tommy Shuler (WR).

What
do you enjoy the most about being a safety?
Dominick LeGrande:
You see the whole field. You are the last line of
defense. I like being back there.

What
is your definition of a leader?
Dominick LeGrande:
Someone who leads by example. You are going out
there and doing the right things. You are just
coming to work, doing your job and being
accountable.

What is the greatest lesson that you have learned
in life thus far?
Dominick LeGrande:
Never give up and just follow your dreams. I just
have trust in God. It is never too late.

What
are your hobbies?
Dominick LeGrande:
I play video games. I play basketball with the
boys.

How
do you see your upcoming future?
Dominick LeGrande:
I hope that it is bright. Everything is in God’s
hands. I plan to train. I am just hoping that
teams fall in love with me.
