Alex Khvatov:  What are your measurements (height, weight and forty time)?

Curtis McNeal:  I am 5’7, 192 and my forty was a 4.5.

Alex Khvatov:  When you were coming out of high school, what programs showed interest in you?

Curtis McNeal:  USC and a few other programs.

Alex Khvatov:  Why did you choose USC?

Curtis McNeal:  Once USC offered me a scholarship, I just went there.  It is a hometown school.

Alex Khvatov:  Tell me about your career at USC.

Curtis McNeal:  It was pretty good.  But I was expecting more Championships.  It was good.

Alex Khvatov:  What are your strengths on the football field?

Curtis McNeal:  My knowledge of the game.  I know what the defense is going to do.  I know the playbook well.  I have good vision.  I can pass protect.  I am a good all-around football player.

Alex Khvatov:  What areas of your game do you need to improve upon?

Curtis McNeal:  You always want to work on your consistency.  I just need to be more consistent and make plays when I touch the ball.

Alex Khvatov:  Were you satisfied with your Pro Day results?

Curtis McNeal:  It was a pretty good day.  It was my first time working out in front of NFL scouts.  I was a little nervous.  Once I started working out, it just became a normal day.  Football is what you do.

Alex Khvatov:  What is the feedback that you have received from scouts and coaches after the USC pro day?

Curtis McNeal:  They said that I had a great workout.  They are just looking forward to April to see what happens in the draft.

Alex Khvatov:  What is the highlight of your career up to this point?

Curtis McNeal:  It was winning the Rose Bowl my freshman year.

Alex Khvatov:  Your team finished 7-6 last year, what went wrong?  Why wasn’t the team able to live up to the high expectations?

Curtis McNeal:  We just didn’t win games.  That is what it boils down to.

Alex Khvatov:  What will you miss the most about USC?

Curtis McNeal:    I will miss everything about USC.

Alex Khvatov:  Describe your teammate QB Matt Barkley.

Curtis McNeal:  He is a good leader.  He is a smart player.  He has great determination.  He never quits.  He has the confidence and swagger that he is the best.  He just goes out there and plays football.  He doesn’t let anything get to him.

Alex Khvatov:  What is your favorite NFL team?

Curtis McNeal:  The Packers.

Alex Khvatov:  Why do you root for the Packers?

Curtis McNeal:  Brett Favre was my favorite player.  He just went out there and played football his way.  He didn’t care what other people thought.

Alex Khvatov:  Where are you currently training for the NFL Draft?

Curtis McNeal:  I train at USC with the other guys.  I work out twice a day.  One day, it is upper body work and the next day, it is lower body work.  Another day, it is total body.  I do cardio every day.

Alex Khvatov:  Why do you want to become an NFL player?

Curtis McNeal:  I have played football all of my life.  I don’t see why I should quit playing football now.

Alex Khvatov:  Which underclassmen on your team should we keep an eye on in the future?

Curtis McNeal:  Marqise Lee is the big name on the team.  But we have a lot of other guys.  Nelson Agholor, De’Von Flournoy, D.J. Morgan and Anthony Brown.  They could all have a breakout year.

Alex Khvatov:  Who is the toughest player that you have faced during your career?

Curtis McNeal:  I would say that it is all of my teammates.  We go pretty hard at one another in practice.

Alex Khvatov:  What are your hobbies?

Curtis McNeal:  I like to play video games.  I like to go fishing.

Alex Khvatov:  What is your definition of a leader?

Curtis McNeal:  A leader is someone who is not afraid to stand out.  He is not afraid of challenges.  It is someone who can take directions and give directions.

Alex Khvatov:  Finish the sentence, Curtis McNeal is….

Curtis McNeal:  He is a great person.  He is a hard working person.  He is accountable.  He always gives his best no matter what happens.
