Fred Ross – Wide Receiver – Senior – Mississippi State

Alex Khvatov:  Tell me about your first day of practice at the Senior Bowl.

Fred Ross:  It was everything I expected it to be and more.  It was tough.  There are a lot of great athletes out here.  The level of competition is very high.  I am blessed to be here.  We have the finest athletes in the world here.

Alex Khvatov:  What have you learned from the NFL coaches after the first day of practice here?

Fred Ross:  Go hard and finish.  They talk about it a lot.  Finishing blocks and finishing your route.  Finishing fast and strong.

Alex Khvatov:  What do you want to show NFL teams this week?

Fred Ross:  I just want to prove that I am consistent.  I had a lot of drops this year.  I just want to show scouts that I can catch the ball.  I want to show that I have great hands.  I want to show that I am someone they can depend on.

Alex Khvatov:  How did you wind up at Mississippi State?

Fred Ross:  My cousin was an assistant basketball coach at the school.  She asked me to take a visit.  I met Dak Prescott.  We have been cool ever since.  That is how I got there.

Fred Ross:  I am proud of him.  I am not shocked that he is having success.  Even though I know that he shocked a lot of people this year.  He has worked hard for everything.

Alex Khvatov:  What is the highlight of your career up to this point?

Alex Khvatov:  What are your strengths on the field?

Fred Ross:  My craftiness running routes and getting open.  I feel like I have great hands.

Alex Khvatov:  Who is the best CB that you have faced during your career?

Fred Ross:  Tre’Davious White from LSU.  That dude is fast.  You have to have a plan B and C against him.  He can cut off your plan A and plan B.  He is a great competitor.  He brings it on every play.  It is great to against him.  It is great to see him here at the Senior Bowl.
